Lyrics as Poetry is a print-only journal that highlights the work of songwriters by presenting their lyrics as poems on the printed page. The publication also includes original prose from writers and journalists. I had the opportunity to design and illustrate the fourth volume of the journal. We decided to take the cover in a new direction by adding a lovely watercolor texture created by layering scanned paintings. I also illustrated all the songs and prose pieces with whimsical line drawings.
